What a lucky, spoilt girl I am! My birthday was the other day, and I got showered in lovely gifts from my beautiful friends and family. The whole day was amazing and full of surprises- I couldn't have asked for anything more! My day began at 5am, when I took pink and white glittery cupcakes down to the pool (I'm a swimmer), so that my training buddies could get out at the end of a hard session and have something sweet. I didn't stay for long, and went home to open my pressies from Mum, Dad and my sister. Mum always gets it right! She always goes waaaay overboard with present shopping, and co-ordinates wrapping paper colours to suit us. I got loads, but some standout things I was super excited about were a Nikon camera (I've wanted one fooorrreevvveerr!), some gorgeous jewellery with these cute little angel wings and coins all over them and loads of MOR beauty products. Mumma even got me a Clementine-scented candle, YES!
When I got to school, my best friend was waiting at my locker with a bouquet of 9 pink roses (my favourite) and a box of the best choccies. I have THE BEST best friend in the world! I came home from school with a smile plastered on my face that had lasted all day from all the birthdays wishes I received, and it stayed there for the rest of the night while we went out to 'The Rose & Crown', WA's most historic and beautiful pub, dessert extrordinaires and maker of the best lemon lime & bitters in the world!
I went to bed that night a very, very contented and grateful girl.
